The Ob Pony or Priob comes from the Khanty-Mansi district in western Siberia near the Ob and Irtysh rivers.
It is a small draft breed that is classified as a member of the North Russian Pony group.
They originate from a region that is known for its exceptionally cold environment and have a physical appearance that is comparable to that of the Narym Pony and the Yakut Pony.
The Ob Pony was named after the Ob River in Russia, where it originated.
They are well-known for their remarkable capacity to adapt naturally to the harsh surroundings of their home in the Khanty-Mansi region of Siberia, where the winters are very harsh, food is in short supply, and the ground is heavily covered in snow.
There is very little known about these horses, and no one knows how old the breed really is.
